Anyone know about alpine radios.
Got the cda-9851 and my eject function doesnt work, anyone have this problem before? I dont want to send the manufacturer to get fixed if I can do myself
It's likely two microswitches inside the shuttle aren't working properly. Repairing them shouldnt be too pricey but before asking any service try to push or hit the cd-shuttle while loading a CD to digitally get it working. But try not to take out the cartridge, it'll mess up the whole system (from my experience on a friends system).
This recently happened to my CDA-9831. I think they're similar units. I had to send it back to Alpine. They did it for free, I just had to pay for shipping(1-way). I tried to open it up to try to do it myself but I didn't want to kill the whole unit.
Turn-around time was about a week and I'm on the other side of the country from cali.
