Does anybody know if there are any significant wiring differences between the UK / European models and the US versions as it's time to rip out the poor Bose system and replace it with a quality SQ system. I'm guessing but I think it's very similar with a few differences in wire coloring only?


Has anybody out there replaced the bose woofer in it's standard enclosure with any other brands with good results? I don't really want to start drilling holes and building custom enclosures as I want to keep the resale value up.

I'm not sure about the audio but I know the security system wiring is completely different. Based on that, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot more is different....

 

Thanks Kevin, I've managed to acquire the workshop manual for UK spec cars over the last few days so now I'm well away. A couple of things are exactly the same but as you mentioned the security system is totally different, luckily I won't be fiddling with that.
