I just recently bought a cadence striker 12 from a shop down the road and I think it is blown. It's a little weird though because it still hits, but it makes what I can only describe as a "gurgling" sound when it hits. Blown? any other thoughts? I think I am just going to say screw my subwoofer adventures and just tell them to put a JL12w7 in there, I dont care how they wind up doing it. The more I try to save money by buying cheaper equipment, the more money I spend in the long run. If It is blown, its BS because the sub is rated at 800rms@2ohms, and my amp only shoves 500 watts at that impedence. So it shouldnt have blown to begin with. Taking it back tomorrow and saying WTF?
