Default 2005 Base Model - Installing Touch-Screen LCD - Questions

I got a really good deal on a new Lilliput 629 from an authorized Lilliput reseller and want to use it in my 2005 base model. I have the non-nav storage pocket currently and will be putting the touch-screen LCD in there (carputer will go in space behind passenger seat).

I've searched the forums and read literally hundreds of posts on this and they have only confused me more as some of them were posted before the 2005 was out and there is some conflicting info where I am unable to differentiate, due to my inexperiance, specifically what information pertains to the 2005.

So, I have some questions about how some aspects of the install:

Does the 2005 Nav door retract completely into the dash as the 2003 does or is it like the non-nav door in the 2005 that sicks out over the storage slot?

Do the 2005's without nav have the power/control plug for the nav doors like the 2003's without nav do?

Has anyone installed an LCD in a 2005 in the non-nav slot? Comments, Pictures?

What is the best storage/nav slot door assembly for an after market install and why?

Does anyone have any videos of the mechanically doors opening and closing? I'd like to collect videos for each year to see the differences.

I've seen one guy that completely removed the nav/storage door but it left a huge gap. Has anyone done this and refab'ed the console so it fits the screen? Comments, Pictures?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I'm going to be installing a xenarc in that pocket along with my carputer in a week or two.
I don't feel like explaining it all right here, but here's the main thread I learned off of.

I can answer my own question about the non-nav 2005 cubby. You can't mount an LCD in there with out some major modifications that probablly wouldn't work anyway.

Well, that's like asking how much the Z costs. It all depends on what you want, how you buy it, and what you put in it.

Mine so far has cost about $300 but I alreay had motherboards, memory, CPU, and power inverter so all I've bought is a touchscreen LCD, a case, and a few other odds and ends that I needed but didn't already have.
