Hey manofsteel...does the P7000 fit without having to cut out too much of the inside casing. I know a hole will have to be made to run wiring. Is that entire inside casing removable? If so then I think you can probably get anything to fit in there thats 7".

Anyway, do you know what Ferenheits(sp?) website is? Searched google and couldn't find it.

Thanks,
B

The Alpine TME-760 is also a fantastic fit if you have the 2003 cubby hole. In 2004 Zs they changed the cubby hole so it's not as big and much harder to deal with. I actually retrofitted my 2004 Z with a 2003 cubby hole so I could more easily use a screen. You can see we trimmed a little away on the right side to clear the buttons. Other than that it was almost a plug-n-play fitment.

I found Sonys new PSP fits perfect in the nav compartment. Fits flush plays movies and games and music. To play games with out useing the buttons on psp I dont know if they coming out for a romote to connect to it. For movies you buy sonys mini discs and it plays them, the psp comes with spiderman 2 movie and the image is so clear. Just open the navi door and place in done. You got yourself game, music, and movie player. You can even save videos. Only thing the nav door wont close but when ur not using the psp just take it out and close the door. Ill post pics when i get a chance

Here's a pic of my Farenheit 7000 screen installed. No cutting or modification required, fits absolutely perfect.

As a side note, if any of you wants to retrofit a 2003 model year cubby hole into yoor 2004+ Z, you just need these two parts:

OEM Cluster Lid 2003 350Z Non-Nav (68250CD010)
OEM Finisher for Cluster Lid 2003 350Z (68410CD000)

The first part is the entire pocket/door assembly for a 2003 Z, and the second is just the little finisher/cover piece that goes in place of where the buttons would normally be on a factory nav unit. The 04+ cars have a totally different pocket and finisher piece than the 03 cars, so you have to get both parts. They just bolt right in and presto, you have an 03 cubby hole assembly with way more room for a custom screen than the 04+ models have.

The trick is that the pocket on the 03 assembly is actually a separate piece that is just bolted on to the door frame assembly. This means you can easily unscrew and remove just the pocket, leaving a huge hole for your screen to be mounted, and the door frame remains unaffected. On the 04+ model, though, the pocket is molded as one piece with the door frame assembly, making it a major pain to cut and trim and make a screen fit. The door hinge mechanism in the 04 is totally different, and takes up more space on the sides of the pocket, which is what reduces your useable space so much. The 03 slide-up door mechanism is completely on *top* of the pocket, so it doesn't take a bunch of space on the sides.

The two parts that I mentioned up above? Any Nissan dealer. I got mine from Performance Nissan since they offered a great price compared to my local dealer.

What indash dvd player is best with the farenheit screen? I was thinking of putting int he PS2 but I prefer to have the indash because it looks cool and I like to play my videogames on a bigger screen.

Do I spend the extra 75.00 + shipping + 9.00 for face or do I spend that money on a unit that will slide right in...hmmm

How much bigger is this NON navi compartment vs the 2004/05 model?
My 2004 is extremly small, I dont see how a screen will fit even cutting the plastic up.

thx
