Default a wired fm modulator instead of wireless?

hello folks, in desperate attempt to find a input source from my ipod to my HU, i found on crutchfield that they sell a "wired" fm modulator instead of a wireless one like itrip or those others, check it out and let me know what u think.

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-BxXb44i...0&I=142FMMOD01

note: that this piece plugs directly into the hu into the antenna input and the stock antenna plugs into this unit thus splitting the fm antenna to the stock antenna and a rca -> mini stereo jack.

is this the answer to all of our problems in regards w/ crappy wireless fm modulators? thanks

I picked up an Audiovox FM Modulator from Circuit City. It actually works faily well. Sounds good enough for me.

I have two of them. (wireless) One for my XM radio and the other for the audio for my PC. Both work pretty well and the sound quality is more than adequate. Of course I have to set them at two different frequencies and I have to use two of my HU's radio presets for these frequencies but no big deal. I don't listen to the radio that much anyway.

what HU u have? i'm gettin a kenwood, and kenwood has a direct interface for ipod, so i can control from the touchscreen. alpine has one too that i know of...your's might have one. or if u have aux rca inputs, u can get a converter that goes from headphone jack to rca, and hook it up directly that way. i hate my itrip....cant wait to get the kenwood setup installed.
