The more destruction I do to my hearing, the better sirius seems to sound. So it's "all good."

Is your Sirius SQ not up to par??

Kenneth (who has stock in sirius)

PS the weird quote was from another thread:

I don't want to overtake this thread so suffice it to say no. My audio setup is not very forgiving and the sound clarity and brightness of the components make it very wasy to differentiate between CDs, MP3's, satallite, and FM. But like I said, that's just me, and to someone else it may be just fine. The only thing I use Sirius for is to remind me of songs that I should buy or download, for that it is a good tool. For other people I could see how the variety and lack of commercials would be beneficial.

Sounds like a quote from my very lips - and very true.

Polite - as in not loud.

Monsterous - as in able to hit those low notes.

From my measurements it looks like 7" is the maximum depth that you could get away with. Due to the slope of the box it would depend on the width of the speaker's magnet and where it would hit the front of the box. The bottom is like 9.5" deep - the middle is about 7 5/8" deep.

It's going to be awhile about $3000 awhile

I'm still looking for amplifiers to mount to the front of the thing once I design a plate to hang them off of. I want to run seperate four channel and subwoofer amplifiers plus have room for a cap and power distribution ... it's going to be a tight fit!

Once that's done I'll stuff the woofers in ... and then install the headend, front video screen, and front speakers.

I have the same dual 10" box with 2 alpine type Rs. I was afraid the .75 cubic volume was not going to be enough but it sounds pretty good. I'm running them at 2 ohms with a Zapco amp.
