Viper 5000/591xv Alarms
I just had a Viper 5000 alarm installed into my Z. My brother had a 591vx installed a couple weeks ago. With my 2-way remote, I am supposed to be able to control up to 4 cars with Viper alarms. Does anyone know how to program my remote to work on my brother's car?

you will have to program your remote to your brothers car. The two car operation seems like a good idea, but it is very hard to implement. The best way to do it is to first reprogram your remote so that you can operate ALL functions from only two buttons. Then, program your remote to your bros car using the other two availible buttons. If you try to overlap buttons it won't work very well, especially if you park close to each other.
For programming instructions you will need an installation manual. There is a small pushbutton that you use to program remotes to DEI alarms. Its been a while since I've done it, but its something like open the door, turn the ignition on, and then push and hold the valet button 8 times.

Thanks. That's what I have been trying to figure out. I figured that I would have to perform some crazy sequence in order to program the remote.
What's neat about this alarm is that with the program button on the back, you can switch between 4 different cars. So all of the buttons would work for each car, you would just need to press the back button in order to switch between cars.
