Default Buying used Z - installing new NAV

Presented with a pretty good option to buy a used 03 Z that still has the stock stereo and no nav - neither of which I want. Is it worth the $$ and even possible to install a good aftermarket NAV and stereo system at a reasonable price - also consider I have zero percent of the skills that folks on this board do when it comes to installing their own gear. I can only drool at the pics knowing I will be paying someone to do it for me. Just wondering for the $2k the dealership wants for the stock NAV, what kind of work I could have done, as I know labor charges is what will eat me alive. Thanks.

I asked my dealer what he would charge to add the factory navigation to my '05 and he said $3500 - for the same money I'm getting a much much better system.

I am partial to the Garmin systems. Have used them for years, can move them from car to car, can take them with me on trips, and I just saw them for sale at Circuit City/Best Buy for $700. You can install it in the stock NAV compartment with an external antenna and have a removable setup for the best of both worlds.
