I was wondering if any of you z owners have installed the JL Audio Stealthbox in their Z... if so, can you post pics? i just went to hifi buys and i saw the stealthbox in a catalog and it was priced at $800... it lookd pretty badass... im thikning about purchasing one

 

I considered this at one point in time... It would have worked well but its not what I really wanted... A few people on the board have it and I mean a few... Not too long ago I saw a FS going on in the classified section of the board... For $800 you could get a Zenclosure from Mike and 2 10w6v2... Also installing that box is a pain... I read the instuctions somewhere and it really looked like it was too much work... Im almost done installing my system I decided to go for a single 10 since Im not a person that wants a lot of bass... Anyway... Hope that helps...

 

I went with the jl stealthbox, and I'm slowly working on my setup. Not yet installed, but I will post pictures as soon as I finsih. The fitment is great and the box blends right in. Another reason I went with this box is because the two subs sit behind the strut, allowing me to use all of the trunk space. (ie: golf clubs) I haven't heard the subs yet, but so far I'm satisfied. How does the stealthbox sound, and how much did you pay? I was considering getting one.

 

I like how it sounds from the inside, but from the outside I hear too many rattles. I think I need some dynamat . I got my subs cheaper then retail thanks to a friend.

 

Do you know what the dimensions of the actual box is? and can you post a pic as if you were looking at it from your seats?

JL Stealth box is one of the best enclosures you can install in your Z...
