Default Thoughts on inexpensive Bose upgrade UPGRADE...

Dreaming... I was hoping to get away with a relatively inexpensive upgrade to the Bose upgrade to improve the overall sound quality (not looking to shake cars next to me in traffic). Help or suggestions to the following ideas. What if I replaced the sub, main amp and dynomat'd the entire interior of the car? I want to do this for two reasons, 1 to quiet the car ride interior noise and 2 improve sound of stereo. Must keep the original head unit for looks. Will these mods yield significant results? I've seen a few installs of the Dynamat and was hoping to get some user experience feedback. Also, can anyone recommend a sub amp and speaker set up? Or should I Just replace all the speakers? Inexpensive Upgrade to UPGRADE = 500 - 1000.
Thanks in advance. -m

you can get extreme dynamat for 100 bucks at www.judysdeals.com

I bought 2 ---36sq feet bulk packs for 200...thats less than buying one retail....adding extrem dynamat is very esy do it yourselfer... 72 feet will wallpaper your entire car.

I have already layed 36sq feet and putting another 36 in later.

The speakers are cheap there too...im getting q series mb quarts speakers for $290. That is the top of the line speaker at Car Toys...they retail for $800.

you can get some 2 way 6'5 mb quarts on ebay for 75 bucks.

get a jl 10w3 for 80 bucks or less.

ALL THIS STUFF IS NEW.

I wouls then get a nice 5 channel amp....you can get it for 200- 300

then you can solicit stereo installers to do the work for you on their day off.

Mine is costing me $250 for the entire system and he works out of my garage.

---list of cheap but badass system---

300 q series
75 2ways
200 dyanmat
80 for sub
300 for amp
100 for wiring
250 for installer

$1305....this is the cheapest for a very high quality $2-3000 sytem if you went retail at any stereo shop.

YOU WANT TO BUY GOOD STUFF-----because it lasts longer and you can have it removed for next to nothing and have the old crap put back in....you can always reuse this stuff....my sub and amps have visted 2 other cars...now going in the z...I have taking apart the car...but the bose crap finally got to me.

MY system I already had the sub, 2ways, amps from my other car----so im making out like a bandit....as normal
