Should we start a new "petition list" thread? Or, is there a method to route the participants of the poll to a petition signup file or thread or something?
I’d help but I’m new at this and don’t know all the features and capabilities of the forum software.

just brainstorming a little, a mass email is an idea with everyones email address. if someone would compose an email to nissan and bose in a professional manor. i will try and compose it myself but i'm sure there are people on here much better with their termonology. and i'm going to make a poll to see how many dissatisifed bose/nissan customers there are. from all the posts on this there has to be over 100 of us on this forum alone.

Leeon@aol.com is probably the best email address for me.

I just sent off my email to Bose regarding my disappointment with their system . Just got my Z 2/6/03 so I have the "fixed" model. Sound is very muddy and the radio is intolerable. The audio pilot is a nuisance as well.

Keep calling NISSAN to voice your dissatisfaction. They recently mailed me a "dealer credit" worth $250 for the inconvenience. As you all know, not nearly adequate, but it will cover a few oil changes...
I recently got the "fixed" system, however, it is still not a "PREMIUM" quality system like we paid for, so turn up the heat.
Get your credit - keep calling.

I have also emailed Bose and Nissan with my complaints and have not received any response from either of them. We need to keep on them about this. With the system being integrated with the navigational system there is not any other direction I can take on a fix. I would rip the system out and start over but, I haven't been able to find shop to tell me they can for sure have the system function as it does now. I have paid way to much money for this system (set-up) to be blown off. I expect a resolution in this matter.

My observations on the Bose system in my 350Z:
1) The Bose system in one of my previous cars, a new 1998 Oldsmobile Intrique was outstanding. It had a lot of range. I prefer a lot of bass and that system had it in spades.
2) My next new car was a new 2001 Pontiac 8 passenger mini-van. Bose was not available in that vehicle for obvious reasons but the 6 disc CD changer system in the dash was also outstanding believe it or not. It also had a lot of range and a lot of bass.
3) By comparison the Nissan Bose system is flat. I had made all of the adjustments (Bass +5) and honestly I don't notice any real change in the bass. I don't know if it is this stupid AudioPilot or not but to say that I am disappointed is a gross understatement. I recommend that we somehow send detailed information including our VIN numbers to someone high up in the customer service hierarchy at Nissan. Does anyone here have that type of contact information that they could share with the rest of us?
BTW, my car was delivered on March 1, 2003 so it had the Bose fixes already installed. I am also going to copy this post and send it to Nissan.
In summary, it is a fabulous car with an economy car audio system in it and that is probably being too kind.

I agree. I have big a big fan of Bose for many years. I even have the BOSE home Thater Lifestyle syustem and its great! I do not knwo who dropped the ball on the 350Z, but they really stepped in it. I actullay had to take my car to an Udio specialist and install a new PIONEER AMP, and subwoofer and I am now totally satisfied.

armanid27:
IF you don't mind me asking what did the new Pioneer amp and subwoofer cost? What specific subwoofer did you buy? Also, did the installation eliminate or bypass that stupid AudioPilot that's part of the Bose system in the Z?
Also, Nissan has NOT responded to the e-mail that I sent several days ago. I'll bet that they will never publicly admit that the Bose system is lousy with numerous problems because that would expose them to actual liability.
Has anyone else here sent ANY long list of VERY dissatisfied 350Z Touring owners to Nissan? IF not, let's do it. IF we don't do something like this Nissan will continue to ignore individual complaints.

Hate to say it, but I am unhappy with my touring bose system also. Email sent to bose. Who do I send to Nissan or who do I call? Please include me in the mass email.
