Any of you electricians see something wrong with this hardwiring process...
Trying to do some research before I get the nerve up to install a radar and some video equipment.

I did not read too closely but seems ok... for your benifit.. I used the kit from V. and taped in to my map lights... easy..very easy...but you can still do that without buying the kit... jsut make sure u fuse it regardless of how u do it
Thanks for the response.
The kit comes with the fuse? Hope this isn't a stupid question, but how would you fuse it if you don't have the kit?

Radio Shack also sells an in-line fuse. It's just a fuse holder with leads out each end. Splice and solder into the hot lead from the fuse box and use the same rated amp fuse that came stock with the equipment. It is a good idea to put it as close as possible to the fuse box, it looks like you have plenty if slack wire there anyway. That way if the hot lead wire's insulation is worn through from friction/vibration it will blow the fuse first and not turn into a red hot fire hazzard somewhere along your head liner.
