By the time I'm done, it'll probably be a little over 2.5K. Just curious as to what others spent. Please share.

$7,000.00. $1,850.00 of that for aftermarket Nav. So just over 5k for sound alone. I could have spent a lot more too but I had to draw a line somewhere .

HAHA bixby, nice man, now I don't feel too guilty about how much I've spent. I bet your system kicks major a$$ though.

I'm a freak about music and it absolutely MUST sound awesome. I really wanted to go 5.1 for SACD & DVDA (multichannel) playback but since I don't sit in the middle of the car it was determined that it would be a total waste of time & money to do it.To my surprise (discovered this morning as a matter of fact) my system will play DVDA even though it doesn't advertise or list DVDA as a supported media type. I haven't tried an SACD disk yet. The DVDA sounds ok even without the 5.1 but CD sounds better.

I may now have to spend the cash to add 5.1 just to see how it will sound. I most def will do this if it plays SACD as well.

Default 1200

I am at 1200, I could have spent less on the head unit but I really like my Alpine 9855 - I at most I may spend another 200 - I am very happy at this point though, so I don't know if I will add an amp to push the main speakers.
