wiring question
Hey guys,
I recently installed an amp for my front speakers and when I wired it I used 4 guage wire for both ground and power to the amp. Now im getting a second amp. My question is that would you reccomend running a complete seperate wire for the power from the 2nd amp to the battery or is it safe to use a distribution block and just split the wire I already ran for the first amp? Both amps are going to run around 3-400 watts (one for the fronts and one for the sub) they are both eDi nine.2's.
If i can split it would i need to switch out the ground for the same guage wire as the power wire?
thanks

4ga is plenty for 2 of those amps. Just buy a distribution block for your power wire. You just need 1 4ga input and 2 4ga outputs. This is what I am using: http://www.cardomain.com/item/STISTEE4
For ground, you can do the same thing, but I just grounded the amps seperately to the vehicle metal. You want your ground wires as short as possible, so just pick a spot close to the amp and ground each seperately.
