IPOD help
I am trying to find out some info for a freind of mine. She has an ipod with an antenna dock station. I guess it needs to be near the cars antenna. She is getting staticy reception and the volume is only about half . She should not have to adjust the volume on the ipod with the dock station she has. Any info I can give her? Thanks.

FM transmitter suck. i had one, now i have an aftermarket HU with iPod integration. as far as the dock, keep the iPod volume at least 75%, and of course find the cleanest station possible..

FM modulators like iTrip will work OK if the FM station you are using is clean. Here in Tampa most of the choices have SOMETHING on it, and the FM modulator sounds terrible. If she cannot find a clean FM station and they all sound bad, then that is that.
The 350Z Bose headunits that are satellite ready can be fitted with an adapter that give you 2 aux-in ports. This will allow you to connect the iPod directly to the head unit using RCA cables. This is the setup I have. The adapter connects to where the satellite tuner would connect if you have one. You can look for it at www.pac-audio.com.
