Question RCA out on stock deck?

Does the stock, non-Bose deck, have an RCA out for an AMP?

Nope. Best thing to do is ditch it and get a decent deck to start with.

I saw this the other day. I haven't actually heard it so I can't attest to how good or bad it is, but it looks like an alternative if you want to keep the stock head unit.

The Bose does have line level outputs but they do not have RCA type connectors on the ends. Both the trunk mounted and subwoofer amplifiers take a line level input using Nissan wireing color codes.

Here's my notes from my installation:

And a picture:

It is thought that Bose equalizes their outputs to make up for the poor quality amplifiers and speakers. If that happens in the headend your new amplifier and speakers will sound poor.

Just to give you an idea:

PS: the other issue with the Bose is the microphone input which changes the bass, midrange, and treble according to what it thinks it hears as cockpit noise.
