Default bad alternator noise thru amp... Help

I ran the power wires thru the firewall where other wires were ran the only difference I can tell from other intalled amps is I ran the wire parrallel to the drivers side kick panel and back into sub area behind drivers seat. Could I be getting interference with that wire routing. And if someone could recommend a good noise filter that does not effect sound quality this would be a great help!

Perhaps i'm lucky, but I have never had problems with noise: i always try to run my power connections on one side of the transmission tunnel and the rcas on the other. If i need to cross them, i do so at a right angle (like spark plug wires).

Since I do not have my Z yet, it is hard for me to picture your wire routing.

I believe it is a good idea to keep the signal cables (within reason) as far as possible from the power cables.

If you could give me a better idea of your set up, i might be able to help more.

The use of fairly decently shielded wires helps a lot as well.

I had no noise at first and then one day I noticed it. I found that I had an RCA junction touch my amp. You could double check all of your wires. Maybe you will get lucky.
