Default Focal Reference or Infinity Perfects?

I wanna spend around $200 on component speakers for my Z. Both the base line Focals and the Infinity Kappa Perfects fit this criteria. So the question now, which set is better. Can the cheapest Focals sound as good or better then Infinity's top end line? Thanks in advance for all your opinions and advice.

ask nazaar... he carries focal.... I persoally like focal.... I had the poly glass series in my old car and upgraded to the k2 series and have tried the utopias. all were good but I can't say how it compares to infinity, although I like their tweeters.

Go to a store and listen to the two side-by-side. Use your own music and listen to the stuff as loud as you normally listen. Bring your ears and your judgement. You can not listen to them seperately and make judgement calls against each other - they have to be side-by-side driven by the same headend and amplifier ideally.

What sounded best to me might not to you and you'll be driving your car a whole lot more than me.

yep, i wish i could do exactly what your suggesting, unforunately there isnt a store nearby with focals on demo. But, i do trust the opinions of my fellow Z drivers so any good input would be helpful

I know, I nearly crapped my pants when I won them on ebay. I got a Eclipse CD5425 heatunit, JL 10w3v2 sub, Mike's under the strut box, JL 250/1 mono amp, Infinity 7521A 2 channel amp, and Focal 165k2's, all for $852 to my door. Most of these I bought off ebay, couple of them locally. Not bad for under 1k. I usually dont like ebay but it really helped me out this time.
