Default Head Unit trouble...

I have a kenwood excelon DVD player and it just recently died on me. I was in a parking lot and pasted out in the with the headlights on my car still on. The battery died and I had to get it jumped. Everything else works fine but my headunit wont turn back on. Some people were telling me there is somet hing I will need to do if the battery dies to get my headunit to turn back on? Any help would be great. Thx.

pasted out = passed out?

Try disconnecting the battery negative terminal for about ten minutes to let everything zero out and then put the cable back on. That might reset the issue.

Does the unit not light up at all, or is it asking for a code?
