OK, so I assume that the silver bolts, lock washers and lock nuts are for mounting, one on each corner, but what are the 8 black screws and other hardware for, black clips and such? Just reinforcement?

I just got my set installed! And they look killer. The alpine R's fit perfectly and the alpine speaker grills look like they belong in the car. I cant get over how awsome it looks, Ill take some pictures as soon as I get my center console painted. I am glad I got them vinyl wrapped from Wicked CAS because the vinyl matches perfectly, everything flows very nicely. I would definatley reccomend a pair of these instead of endless hours trying to cut and sand spacers.

Install time was about 4 hours, only because I go slowly and I am super **** about my car. I picked up a few more bolts from home depot and screwed that sucker in tight. Each side has 6 bolts in it. All of my front speaker space woes are SOLVED! Cant wait to show them off tommorrow. 240 bucks is a little steep, but you get what you pay for and it was well worth the money.

Oh I was also a little worried about the pods changing the amount of leg room in the car, but no problems, I dont even notice their there in that aspect.

Sure man, it would be probably tuesday of next week before I was able to. My center console is laying on my kitchen table waiting on my paint from paintscratch.com to come in and my order wont be here till monday. I really dont want to take pics of my car with no center console.

Feels kinda like taking a picture of your girlfriend to show people when she got a bad haircut or something.

Does anyone Know if the Boston Pro 6 Components Set fit in these pods? Boston Pro's are the best spkrs sold in our shop and would like to go with them as i will be installing a set of 10 inch G5 subs and radiators as soon as enclosure is completed. Hope to get a response before the end of the month. Also, will these unit still ship to Hawaii for the same price?

I don't see why they won't fit, As long as the mounting diameter is no more then 7"

Shipping to Hawaii I would say add $10

Is there any way to mount or bolt it all the way to the door metal? I'm looking for something sturdier than the plastic .. or I guess can we get some feedback about how solid the bolt-on ends up being?

If you get atleast 3 bolts on there preferably with washers you would have nothing to worry about. If in doubt use a couple more bolts. No need to go through the metal of the door since this will only cause problems in the install and serviceability.

The bolt on is dead solid, it shipped with lock nuts and lock washers. If you want you can go to home depot and pick up a few more bolts, nuts and washers and drill a few more holes. I wound up with six bolts in each pod because....well because I'm crazy like that. 3 Bolts, honestly, is plenty.
