ive done a bunch of searches and can't come up with anything useful. I have a 03 touring with the Bose system, 6 cd indash changer, no SAT button. And i was looking for an iPod interface where i can control the ipod with the factory radio controls. I know they make this for other cars, does anyone know if they make it for mine?

The only systems I know that currently supports full control of the ipod from the buttons on the head unit are most Alpine head-units when you buy their adapter-box. I know Pioneer has one in the works. I may already be out though.
I have been looking for a good iPod interface as well...
From what I can tell, you can control the iPod from your factory stereo using a Monster iCruze (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-9H8uhv6...sp?i=119ICRUZE) **if** you have the entry-level factory stereo (i.e. no in-dash changer). In other words, if your stereo controls an *external* cd changer, it will also control an iPod (iCruze emulates a cd changer).
However, if you have the 6-disc, in-dash changer (as I do), the best you can do with the factory stereo is an auxillary (AUX) input device(http://www.logjamelectronics.com/pacaainis.html). Normally, the "Radio" button selects the following modes: FM1->FM2->AM only. If you have satellite radio installed, the "Radio" button selects these modes: FM1->FM2->AM->SAT1->SAT2. The AAI-NIS will work *in-place-of* satellite radio and will provide the two additional AUX ports. That is, you can have two external devices connected via the AAI-NIS. No, you can't have satellite radio *and* AAI-NIS. They both use the same connector on the back of the stereo. With this setup, you can get quality audio from the iPod into the stereo, but you must control the iPod using the iPod itself.
I'm no expert on this stuff, so I could be mistaken, but I am reasonably confident with my research. BTW, the "Sat" button we hear about so often is really the "Radio" button - it selects between radio and satellite (if present) modes.
I hope this helps.

zedated, great job on the research
In case you're wondering, the Alpine iPod interface for their headunits is the KCA420I, the Pioneer one (which has been out for a few months now) is the CD-IB100, and Clarion has one as well for their headunits, it's the EA1251. All these interfaces claim full controll through the deck and charge the iPod at the same time

Hey there, I actually did my research without looking into here first (d'oh!) and then got the iCruze and interface adapter from Ebay. I had it put into my '05 350z Enthusiast Roadster (stock radio without SAT or cd changer) by Monney Car Audio yesterday, but it doesn't work. When I plug the dock connector into the iPod, it is supposed to show the iCruze logo, but that never happens. In fact, it seems as if the iPod doesn't even notice that there is a connection.
So I called up the Monster iCruze Support Hotline to confirm two things:
a) Does the iCruze work with the new iPod nano? Answer: Yes it does
b) Does it work with the '05 in dash radio, since they state only 03-04 compatibility on their webpage. This question they couldn't answer, the guy asked me if I have a SAT button (which I don't), because the satellite ready head units apparently don't work together with the iCruze anymore. I believe it should work fine, and it doesn't seem like the problem I have is caused by the iCruze or head unit, since it looks like the connector doesn't even work.
Has anyone else had experience with putting an iCruze into an '05 350z? Any help would be appreciated.. I'm going back to the audio store today to have them verify the setup, but I thought asking here as well wouldn't hurt. Of course I will add any comments if they get it to work (or not).
Cheers!

It turned out to be a pretty simple problem: One of the plugs had come loose when they put the panels back in at the audio store, so after opening it back up and checking the installation it is finally working now! So I have actually two reviews, one for my iCruze module and one for my roommates ice-Link: module that he put into his '05 Honda S2005:
Monster iCruze: (price: iCruze + Nissan adapter about $130 on Ebay, $250 in store)
+ Works with stock head unit
+ Fully controls the iPod through the head unit (or steering wheel controls if available)
+ Charges the iPod while listening to music from it
+ Works with any iPod, even the latest iPod nano
- Switching between songs is SLOW, you can't just press up or down very fast to go through the playlist. However, the FFW and RWD buttons do a +10 and -10 title jump.
- The iPod has to be set up in a specific way, since only the first 6 playlists are available (through the cd changer buttons)
- When going to the next or previous song by using the up/down buttons there is a brief audio repeat.
ice Link: (around $190)
+ Same advantages as Monster iCruze
+ Faster switching between songs than iCruze, but still SLOW compared to regular CDs.
+ Allows accessing ALL playlists on the iPod and has a mode in which the iPod controls can be used to navigate (good for passengers etc.). The iCruze takes full control and never allows using the iPod controls.
+ Has mechanism to update ice Link: firmware through iPod, good for future updates etc.
- NOT COMPATIBLE WITH NISSAN HEAD-UNITS!!! And there doesn't seem to be an adapter or something to make it work with it, otherwise I would have gotten this one over my iCruze.
It seems like the ice Link: is slightly better, but both modules are pretty much the same otherwise. Both have the same problems when trying to quickly get to a certain song, which is annoying and not mentioned anywhere else on the web. Hopefully this will help some people with their buying decision!
Cheers!

A Dension rep claims they are working on Ice Link for Nissan. I'm going to wait for it. It will be worth it for the reasons Legend stated 1) control of all playlists and 2) full control of the iPod . I'll keep my cassette adapter for the time being.
I have a question. I'm still confused! I have an 04 Roadster with the Bose CD-6. Can I use these adapters with my I-pod, and install satelite radio, and NOT have to change out all the speakers? I really like the Bose when its playing CD's but the radio portion is Junk as we all know. But if I don't have to change the speakers, I don't want to.
As far as I know it's not possible to use these modules if you have an in-dash cd changer (which the bose 6cd is, right?), because the module hooks into the cd changer port of your radio, and if it's built-in, there is nothing to hook into.
Also, the Monster support guy told me that the iCruze does not work with radios that have a SAT button for satellite radio, but he couldn't tell me why. If you want a system that has everything, you will probably have to exchange your head-unit with some nice Alpine system or something like that.
Regarding your speakers, I don't see what that has to do with the head-unit? I'm not familiar with the bose system, but unless they put in something completely incompatible with other systems, you should never have to touch the speakers but only the actual head-unit..

MONSTER MAKES A DEVICE FOR OUR CAR, CALL THEM AT 1 415 840 2000.
I HAVE IT IN MY Z, AND ITS OK. I HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE PLAYLIST ON MY IPOD. I HAVE TO SETUP WHAT I WANT THROUGH MY PC. I JUST HAVE TO MAKE SURE IT TURN THE RADIO OFF BEFORE I TURN THE CAR OFF. THIS MAINTAINS THE SYNC BETWEEN THE RADIO AND THE IPOD. ALSO MY PLAYLIST ONLY SEE ABOUT 250 SONGS ON EACH PLAYLIST. ALSO CD BUTTON 1-6 CONTROL EACH PLAYLIST. JUST FIGURE EACH CD BUTTON CONTAINING 250 SONGS.
