I don't know how tough Nissan's navs are to crack, but high-end A/V installers can and have cracked many cars' navs to allow for an external DVD signal to be sent. I was recently reading an article in some mag (not one of the main 3) about an MB S600 which received a VERY classy A/V install by the folks at AI Design in NY. They successfully hacked the nav and hooked an in-dash DVD player to it. Perhaps an outfit has already done that for Nissans at a commercial level and is selling adapters or firmware upgrades...who knows.

You need a separate DVD player and a video splitter. There was a product called NAV-TV that may still be available.

Also, Alpine hads a unit called Moblie Hub, this allows you to connect into your factory's screen, wether it is a nav screen or info screen. You can connect NAV, DVD, Gaming, 5.1 surround, all Ai-net. this is about 250.00
