Default Boston Acoustics Pro60

Does anyone have the Boston Acoustics Pro60? I am wondering about the spacer needed for this unit (more than 1"?). I am doing the install soon and would like to have everything ready so I don't waste time running out to Home Depot or audio shops. Thanks.

You only need a 3/4 inch spacer. I am running the Z series speakers from Boston and only used 3/4 inch spacers. I also recommend using the axis mounts, do not use the factory tweeter location. It will sound to harsh and bright. The factory tweeter location sucks.

I'm using the BA 6.5 pro's, exact same mounting dimentions as the newer Pro60's though.

Laminated two pieces of 12mm MDF together for the spacer ring & stuck it on top of the Dynamat. This is just thick enough for the glass to clear the magnet.

I figure I would just get the Metra 1" spacer from Circuit City and trim it down if need be. Thanks for the post.

It's important to note that even though Boston Pro60s, Reference Z6s, & old Pro 6.5s all have a 63mm mounting depth - the new Pro60s 3/4" spacers so I'm sure the Pro60s will work no problem. I'm now spacered 1.5" and centered in the door cutout which is even better.

I bought the Metra 1" spacer but ended up cutting the stock speaker out of the cradle and using it instead.
