Default Custom Tweeter Placement *pics*

I've noticed some people were wondering where's a good place to put the tweeters for our cars. I hear that the stock locations were not good and creates a harsh sound. Well mine is place in the A pillars facing towards the windshield. I'm using Boston tweeters and I think it helps out with the harshness, but at the same time providing good sound imaging. You can ask your local installer about it, or if you're interested, I can get my installer to make them for you if you're interested.

Looks cool, but I dont see how that will help with imaging due to the fact that it doesnt solve the problem of the highs being 5 feet away from the mid drivers.

other than that, very cool man, very unique looking.

the distance is about the same as the stock location, but with this setup, the image is lifted higher, and to the center. I'm not an expert or anything, but I do know that the image is raised, so that it's right in front of me. It has something to do with it bouncing off the windshield. I don't know if this is the best place, but it sure sounds pretty darn good Maybe some other audio experts have other opinions.

he had a metal housing to hold the boston tweeter, then mold it onto the pillar, smoothen in out, then layer the entire pillar with matching vinyl, then used a thin cloth layer as a grille. looks pretty neat , and sounds great

My tweeters were also installed in tha A pillars. Location and the windshield are the key. Much better sound imaging.
Visionboy, your set up is really sweet looking!! Mine were added after driling holes in the A pillar covers.

Thanks guys, I just wanted to share with everyone who may have been wondering what's a good location for tweeters. Just ask me if you have any questions.
