Default Easy questions about DDX7017

Ok, I just received my ddx 7017...... I have a couple quick questions before I rip apart my dash

1) Do I need an adapter for the antenna (I would like to buy it before I open up the dash)

2) To deactivate the park brake/ video watching ability alls I do is ground the park brake wire???

3) I remembering reading about the illumination wire and the problems that occured when hooking it up with the ddx 7015.... was that cleared up with the ddx7017

If anyone has any tips for me before I rip my car apart please feel free to help

Thanks alot

I have the 7015 and did not need the adapter, but would recomend an extension for the antenna wire. 2). you are correct, just ground the green wire to the chassis. 3). I had no problem with the illumination, I actually didn't realize thier was a problem. hope your hands are not too big it gets kinda tight in there. Good Luck!

Same for me as above (ddx-7015) to fill the gap after removing the factory head unit you will need an install kit Metra part # 99-7402 search Froogle with the part # and you shouldnt pay more than $15 for it I think mine was about $10 before shipping.

Thanks for all you help... the install went smoothly, I intalled a switch under the ash tray for the park brake switch override...just in case i get pulled over.....I also installed aux audio/video inputs in the center console so I can hook stuff up to it easily

Thanks again
