A Subwoofer Question
I've seen setups where people have a sub box that goes right under the rear stabilizer bar in the trunk. DOes anyone know where i can get something like this done? Im planning on getting subs and thats where I want my sub to be. Thanks.

I know Mike (owner of the store), and he is a great guy. I recently won one of his sub enclosures at a club event and it ROCKS.

They are all over ebay but the quality can vary. I luckily got a cheap well-made one. But others got crappy one's from the same guy. The JL Audio one is killer but kinda pricey.

That guy has'nt been selling them on ebay for over a month. Good thing because I was tired of people confusing me for him and sending me his complaints.
I've seen many boxes I've made with the type r and they mounted in straight. If he made that box with enough height you should be able to air-sand the bottom out enough out to allow for where the terminals are hitting.
thanks mike

I think the box is too small and my speaker is too big. I didn't look at specs carefully enough.
I DID sand and I could see no way that the 2005 Type-R (which is bigger) could fit in straight. No way.
I'm OK with it but it's what I get for going cheap.

The company I have molding them up for me is slooow. He did get 5 made for me and I already shipped them out to the first five people that were on my list waiting. I'm in the process of finding someone new to make them for me....He did good work but I just need someone more dependable.

thanks for the replies. I am still looking for a sub box that fits one 12'' Kicker right under the strut bar. I think Mike is working on a design but i havent found others that make one.

I don't think there is enough room to make a box to properly fit a 12" under the strut bar, those with 10"'s seem to be snug enough. If you like kicker throw one of the new L7's in there and it will blast. I ordered the JL kit that is supposed to come with 2 W3's the dealer did some trimming and slapped 2 10" W7's in there. We can't wait till my car comes in to see how those sound.
