If you use the RCA's coming out of an aftermarket HU, will the gay audio pilot feature still try to lower or raise the sound since its still connected through the harness??? Or is that only if you are using factory wiring?? thanks

I really don't think it will make a difference. An aftermarket HU simply won't recognize an AudioPilot signal.
