Default Front Door Speakers: Spacer Size?

Hi, I replaced my front speakers to Boston Accoustic SL60 component system and now its hitting corner of window.

Since Z door isn't really deep, I'm afraid to put spacers. What size spacer do you guys use to install front speakers?

Thanks in advance!

3/4 in to 1.5 in. Some have had luck building angled spacers, or offsetting the hole in the spacer to raise or otherwise move the speaker further towards the center of the door opening. Speaker depths will range from 2" to 3"

I used a 1 inch spacer I made from mdf. Worked perfect on the passenger side. On the drivers side I couldn't get it to clear the door panel so I cut it back to 1/2 inch and it hits the window now. Over the window I'm redoing the drivers side from scratch. I have infinity 6.1s BTW.

That's sweet!
I don't have to deal with MDF any more!
Does it work/fit well?

For some people's reference, here is a link from Circuitcity.
http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Metra...oductDetail.do

(if this doesn't work, go to www.circuitcity.com and search for metra spacer. there is only one.)

I tried 1" plastic spacers with my Infinity 6.1's and they were just a tad too shallow so I made mine out of plywood. Off setting them a bit toward the front of the car helps too.

I feel your anger. I would love to do it but since I'm leasing this, I'm planning Bose back up again when time comes....
