Has anybody obtained good results installing tweeters in the factory location, without cutting the plastic? I installed a set of Diamond Audio M661 with a Hifonics amp and a Panasonic "Ghost" head unit. The speakers sound horrible. The sound is harsh and has no clarity. I think cutting the plastic and installing the tweeters flush will improve the sound but I'm not positive. Any thoughts?

I installed Diamond Hex in the front tweeter locations and it sounds good, try hooking up the tweeters in reverse polarity if the sound is not clear. I also installed diamond components in the back and that improved the sound by a large margin.
