Default Alpine bypass module?

Ok, I have the bypass module that allows me to use all the advanced features/dvd while driving. I recenty took apart/re-installed the head unit/brain on my IVA-D300 and now I can no longer get to these features. I can't do the brake sequence because the necessary wires are hooked into the bypass module, which for some reason, isn't doing it's job. Is there some sort of programming process I have to complete or something?

I just did this with my 310. Just tie it into the wiring loom on the way to the control module. I did'nt need to tap the loom into the hand brake/foot brake at all.

It's already installed, but after taking apart and re-installing my system it no longer works. I'm not really sure what's going on with it. Did you have to program it or anything?

Yeah, sorry dude. You have to pulse the brown wire twice to the ground with the switch turned on, and the ignition on. The led should flash with each pulse, then flash rapidly. Turn off the ignition, and flick the switch to off. I can fax the instructions tomorrow if you need them.

OK,here are the programming instructions word for word.

1. Connect black wire to chassis ground and connect red wire to 12v accessory.
2. Slide TR-7 switch to the on position and turn the ignition on.
3. "Pulse" the brown wire 2 times and wait 3 seconds. The LED will flash 2 times for confirmation. The LED will rapidly flash for 3 seconds.
4. Slide the switch to the off position
5. Connect the green wire to the Alpine's blue/white wire, the blue wire to the Alpine's footbrake input and the white wire to the Alpines handbrake input.

Awesome, I'll go try it out later when I get a chance. I wonder if I have to dis-connect the wires for the brake inputs before doing this?

You could also look into the PAC TR-7. Used it on an Alpine IVA-D310.

Well, I already have the unit. I just have to re-program it. If only I weren't so damned busy.
