i dont know if this is the right section to post this but i just installed a kenwood excelon DDX7015 screen and the next day i started it up for the first time after the install and i get a SES light...the codes were fuel level sensor low circuit and the other one is fuel temp sensor low circuit. the light has never come on before until the install of the cd player. could the install have anything to do with the light coming on?

 

Had the same SES light problem after installing Eclipse AVX2494. Not sure about the codes that were being reported, but it cleared itself after 48 hours.

 

I had the same problem when I installed my XM unit. The SES light came on for about 3 days then went away.

 

Wow, I didn't know you could throw those codes with a simple audio install. Oh well, as long as they go away on their own.

oh yeah but i have trouble fittin the trim that goes around the screen now...it came with the screen...i think i might have to buy a new one or take the dash out and redo the screwing and setting of the screen

 

You need to buy the Metra dash kit. It comes with a trim piece that is curved to match the dash. The trim piece that came with the radio is just the wrong shape for the dash.

You will have to buy the complete Double Din kit from Crutchfield or Ebay to get the trim piece. The kit is one size fits all. The plastic strip in the middle is then cut out. Very simple.

 

Just got the SES light after installing na AVIC-N2. Hopefully it clears after a few days like yours did.
