Default Sony MGS-X1

Got this baby off of ebay for $50. Brand new unit with 128mb memory card. Will hook up to my Sony JDM head unit. Just trying to figure out now where to mount this bad boy. Maybe in the "mailbox" cubbyholes. In case you can't see, it is black with alumium color door and memory stick slot face. Uses amber light. Matches the Z to a T.

You record music on a memory stick, and then the head unit plays it back. It works like any memory card reader. It uses the Sony control bus.

My Eclipse has one built right in. The faceplate folds down to reveal CD slot and flash mem. slot. It's nice in a "gadgety" sort of way. I can play music off it, load screen savers, adjust and define time-alignment parameters, etc.

That's nice. I referred a friend to the Eclipse because he wanted a unit with a memory stick.

Mine has a 128mb stick. Of course, my head unit has MD and CD, changer in back, XM, and I am looking for the MD changer at the right price.
