Default Eclipse HU ESN Problems

I disconnected my battery to install XM in my car, thinking that I knew which CD I used to set up my ESN security. I tried the CD and it doesn't work. Is there any way that I can bypass the ESN security?

It must work (and it worked for me when I reconnect battery).
But if its not working for some reason, you can contact Eclipse AVN support. You can find ph# from their webstie.

If you bought it from authorized dealer and registered it, you will not have much problem solving that issue. Good luck.

This happened to me about 7 years ago with the ESN security system. The cd that I THOUGHT (and still think to this day) was the key cd didn't work. I had to send the HU back to Eclipse with a copy of my Eclipse certificate for them to unlock from the factory (or service center). Cost wasn't bad, just a PITA.

When the radio got back and went in the car I decided not to setup the security CD.

Problem didn't happen again.
