Default Can you replace single CD OEM with Bose OEM?

Is it possible to replace the single cd OEM in my 350 base with the Bose OEM? Is it compatible? Will it wire up correctly? Any help would be appreciated.

No, it won't work. The Bose system has a completely different wiring harness because it has a stock amp and sub unit. If you were to buy the wiring harness, amp, sub, head unit, and all the speakers it will probably work but it'll cost an arm and a leg. You are way better off getting an aftermarket HU, plus you wil get better sound and flexability. Try a search, I know this has discussed many times before.

Yes, it will work. I did it on mine by following Framnkmusic's Bose upgrade below:

http://www.350zmotoring.com/forums/s...&threadid=9949

Just make sure that when you buy the used Bose 6CD HU that the CD unit is locked or else it may get jarred in shipment & break. Better buy local for pickup. It will also be better to buy the 2004+ HU w/c are SAT ready. I also installed a Sirius digital system by followin Zboater's set up below:

https://my350z.com/forum/audio-and-video/80720-sirius-pnp2-ipod-install-on-z-roadster.html

The result is an awesome sound quality w/ the retention of the OEM look.
