Battery Compartment ... How do you get in there ... ?
Okay, I'm trying to get my Stinger Power2 SP1000 mounted a little more securely in the battery compartment. When I bought it, they dropped it in, said the factory/stock mount didn't have enough threads and sent me on my way. I figured, how hard could it be to drop a few washers in there or something ...
So here in my dilema ... I can't get the rear (nearest the passenger) hook in place from the stock mount. There is a little plastic panel there with what appears to be the guides for the washer fluid tubing. I tried squeezing my hands underneath there to tighten the bolt but no way ... so there has to be a way to take that panel off ... but I just don't know how?
I'm planning to take that little J-Hook in the rear and put a few large washers on the J-side to add about .5"-.75" worth of height ... that's about all I need ... I'll do the same with the front (but the front side is easily accessible when it comes time to tighten the bolt) ...
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
TIA!

yeah its actually pretty simple. just get a pick or a small flathead screwdriver and pry up on those little black caps. they pull up and then out. you then just take the foam gasket that lines the top of both sides of the battery compartment up. pull slightly on the water line and it pulls away from the black plastic panel. then pull the panels out.
