Deck install how-to?
I found the dash removal how-to, but couldn't find one for the deck install. As in, the various cables, and whatever else may be needed. Is there one out there?
Not that I have seen.
If you need the color code for the factory wires that's not hard to do but I would recommend rather than cutting off the factory plug (or disassembling it as has happened from time-to-time) that you get a Crutchfield wiring kit. That guy will plug straight into the factory harness and break out wires for you. The other end of that adapter gets soldiered into the harness provided by Alpine/Pioneer/Whatever. When you're done the Crutchfield end plugs into the car and the headend manufactures plugs into your headend and the only tough part is tucking the wires into the dash and enjoying the music. It's $12.95 well spent if just to eliminate the time with the hot soldier pencil inside the plastic dash if nothing!
Crutchfield Wiring Kit
Note that this is the kit for a Bose system without factory navigation - just run thought the "what fits my car" questions to find the others.

PS: Crutchfield posted my review on the kit in there customer ratings.

The color code matched the one for the Pioneer AVIC N2 I installed with this harness so it was just a matter of some heat shrink tubing and a bit of soldiering. Plugged them together linking the factory harness to the Pioneer one and everything worked the first time.
