Default Will the Basslink II fit in stock location?

Ive searched, but can't find any answers. Will the Basslink II fit behind the drivers seat where the bose sub normally goes? I know the regular basslink will but have not seen anything about the II in this spot.

Isn't the regular basslink a round sub, and the basslink II a square sub? I work at circuit city and seen both. They look very similar as far as the physical size goes, and I didn't think there was very much room in the stock subwoofer location for anything except a custom mounted sub?

This is the only thing I've ever seen personally that fits in the stock subwoofer location. I know there are others that have fit other subs in that same spot, but never seen the amplified infinity sub in there.

Setup was done at www.innovativerides.com if you were wondering.

Thumbs up

Yeah the Basslink II is the square one, I went ahead and just bought the regular Basslink from circuit city because I knew it would fit. Im not even sure if the II is worth the extra hundred bucks, I'm more than satisfied with the Basslink, it hits way harder than I thought it would, I have it at about half power anything more than that drowns out the music.
I'm running a Kenwood DDX-7015 with infinity Reference componets in the doors and reference 2-ways in the back. I removed the steel panel with the 10" hole, and hung the basslink in the cavity where the stock sub would be then filled the inside with some poly-fill and got the bose speaker grill panel from performance nissan for $19.
All in all I am totally happy with the way everything sounds, and didnt lose any usable space at all. The basslink is a pretty amazing little unit, these are the first infinty products I've installed and gotta give 'em credit for some quality sounding products.
I almost went with the polk speakers but listening to them side by side with the infinitys I noticed they didnt sound as full and were a little harsh on the highs.

Bumpity bump.

You have any pics of the install? I'm about to purchase a Basslink II. I think the dimensions are pretty much the same. How did you get rid of the metal brackets? Cut them out?

well, I just ordered the Basslink 2 and will post an update with pics to let you all know how it fits.
I am assuming it will fit fine in the Bose spot, but am worrying that the stock radio will not push it very well... but we will see!
I am going to go ahead and run the RCA's up by the radio to ease in future upgrades if I go ahead and buy that AVN5435 like I have my eye on... Also I will be trying it withoug the bose cover as well...

Nice just about the same setup that I have. Except I have some cheapo Pioneer 3-Ways in the rear (these made an incredible difference in sound over stock anyway btw). Huge upgrade from the stock setup. The basslink has a lot of bumping power. I wouldn't sell it short. After about 2 months I'd recommend retuning it, to where it can pump out the most clean bass, and then tune your headunit to where you can control it comfortably. I tuned pretty conservatively when i installed the basslink, and retuned it a few months after and it could really push out more sound than i thought it would. I think I'll retune it soon just to see how much more I can push it.

Friends, don't let friends put Basslinks in cars. They are barely any better than the stock Bose Sub. Basslinks suck big fat dong!! They only sound reasonable good if you can put one in a trunk.

If its in open air all you hear is muddy muddy bass. I made the mistake of buying one and it smoked within 1 hour for no apparent reason. I took it apart to see what it looked like inside, man what a POS. the woofer had a small magnet and cheap paper cone. It looked like a 25 watt driver. The amp looked like something you would find inside of a set of cheap computer speakers. You are getting ripped off if you buy one!
