any suggestions/pix of good out of plain view spots to run an iPod cable from my head unit?
preferably a spot with minimal-to-no cutting up interior pieces.

I put mine in the arm rest with enough cable to put it into an ash tray mounted cup holder. For the most part I use mine in random play or on a play list. I'm not willing to risk wrecking my car or killing myself too many times to pick a song off the thing - I'm funny that way.

I have my speed connect from my Alpine W-200,,,ran into the cubby. Its not that flashy,,,but on the 06 cubby,,,you have two notchs in the rear of the cubby, the cushon mat tabs push in there to hold it in place. I used a dremmel and made the left tab hole a little bigger,,,ran my Ipod cable through there,,,You have to run the cable through the cubby before connecting to the headunit,,for the pin plug side of cable is smaller and easy to fit. I dont have any plans for my cubby,,,so my ipod sits there just fine,,,charges,,and when I am ready to remove to bring in the house, or upload,,,I just unplug it and go....I know, this is just a base set up...but works for me.
