I need some clarification here. A friend of mine has been installing car audio components for a few years. I have purchased a lot of new hardware for the Z and want it installed. The problem is the cost of the kind of install I would like to do.

SO, getting to the point, he said installing the head unit, (Alpine CDA 7897), would not work because of the Bose system. Something about having inline individual amps for each speaker would distort all signals coming out of them.

I would like to go ahead and install the hu and XM but wait on the rest due to the extreme cost and complexity. I had XM in another vehicle but pulled it out before selling so I am missing it pretty badly.

Another dilemma, should I go ahead and install the rear speakers, (JL 6.5's) if I install the head unit?

This would leave the amps, two JL 8's for the back and components for the front to have enclosures built and installed.

Advice?????????
