Remote with factory head unit
Ok,
I haven't done stereo stuff for a while and I forget this. It's probably something really stupid that I should know so I apologize. But how do you set up a sub without changing out the head unit. I know there's obviously power and ground and then I'm using one of those things (can't remember what they are called) that you hook up to the two wires of the rear speakers and it converts it to a mono output that you plug into your amp to get signal to your sub. But what would you hook the remote wire to so that it (the amp and sub) come on when you start the car and shut off when you turn off the car? Any advice on how to go about running the wires would be appreciated too (I know there are threads on it and I've already printed those out, but if there were any problems anyone had, let me know). Thanks!
