Default iPod Direct Connect

I'm looking at last weekends Best Buy ad, and in it, they advertise 2 systems to directly connect your iPod right to your sterio. I have a wireless adapter, but i'm not really satisfied with it, as it doesn't work right 2 months after I bought it.

One is a "Peripheral" and the other is a "Dension." Anyone have these or know anything about the brands? No, peripheral isn't what it is, its the brand name.

Do you need a head unit that is "iPod Ready" or can this be done simply by using an RF Adapter?

Bose is to Speakers as Monster is to Wires/Hookups. Its good, but WAY overpriced.

I got the Monster wireless transmitter, and that is what broke on me. I try to avoid Monster when I can, but in his case, I might not be able to.

the head units that are ipod ready need an adapter to interface...
Ok, so it won't work with the stock unit? Thats all I need to know then. thanks

+1, this looks to be exactly what I need. How well does it work in the real world and is it something a layman could install himself?

Doh! Just noticed this...

Important Notes: Must be External CD changer capable without "SAT" radio button. Must not be equipped with Factory Navigation.

I have the factory nav, is there any hope for me?
