Amplifier Question
So I got rid of my old Tahoe today and removed the old dual 12" setup. Since 12"s don't really fit in the Z I want to get a 10" to put in my new Zenclosure from Mike.
Got suggestions on what 10" sub would work well with my amp. Anyone have a 10" sub they are looking to sell?
I listen to Hip-Hop/Rap and getting into some House/Trance. On another note I have two 12" sony xplods and a dual sub enclosure for sale (sell it for cheap to people on the board)

You'll probably want something that gives you a high Qtc at the cost of a flat response and a low F3 point.
If you're going with the dual 10" Zenenclosure box have a listen to the JL Audio 10W3V2-D6 speaker. Knowing your music style I'd throw another piece of wood inside the box just to start with to lower the enclosure volume even more. I'd take a 2 x 4" piece of lumber and cut about 4" of lenght and screw and glue it to the bottom.
The box will start you with a 1.26 Qtc but you might even like one as high as 1.4-1.5. If you went with the Infinity Kappa 10VQ you could pull the pole VQ tuning piece and you'd have a Qtc of 1.45 already.
You'd do even better with a custom built band pass box but then you're talking four to five times the cost of the Zenclosure which is handmade (and my example was well done).

Thanks for the help. Going with the Infinity Kappa 10VQ.
Now that I've made that decision I am also thinking of adding the Farenheit 7" screen, EIGER DVD player(http://www.millionbuy.com/eigev1100.html) and Pioneer DEH-P7700MP to spice up the electronics.
Should be real nice when done - let me know what you think of the Eiger, its the one component I haven't found much info on.

By the way thanks for the kappa 10vq suggestion - I don't stop reading good reviews about the product - Its being delivered after christmas, I'm psyched.
