So i am changing my sound system AGAIN (about the 4th time). I'll be taking pics of install and everything once everything arrives by mail.
New equipment:
Infinity 6012i for the rears
Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 for the fronts
JL 300/4 for the speakers
JL e1800d amplifier for my sub
Custom built understrut sub box
custom built amp rack to fit the e1800d & xbox with blue LEDs
speaker spacers
Building my own amp rack for stock sub location for the 300/4 with a plexiglass window on the front panel so 2 blue neons shine out as well as 2 6.5 phoenix gold coax's i picked up hooked up to the deck.
Old equipment that is staying:
Sony XAV-7w 7" flip out monitor and receiver
Image Dynamics IDMAX 10 V.3 D4
Modded xbox with about 6000 mp3s, gunna put some music videos on it soon.
0awg amp kit split to 4awg for the amps
I already finished the plexiglass panel, i'll post some pics of that in a few minutes here.

OK just took some pics. What i did was cut the bose 10" speaker grill out with a jigsaw to leave a cool looking opening. It wasnt a perfect cut out, but for just buying the jigsaw and never really using one before, i think i did ok. I bought a little plexi glass window from home depot for like $5, a plexiglass cutter for like $3, and plexiglass clear adhesive for another $3. I cut all the protruding plastic away from the middle to create a kind of flat square area around the area that i cut out of the plastic. Then i cut the plexiglass window to fit that square area and mounted it with the adhesive. Took me about 2 hours because all the little cutting i had to do.

I've read of folks sealing up the stock sub cubby with amps
having thermal problems that causes clipping.
One way to avoid that is mounting a quiet bearing fan
intake at the lower part of the 10" hole cut a vent out near the top.
I'd planned to mount low profile fanless amps under the seats,
but I may change to the cubby for greater amp choices.
I look forward to reading how your setup works out.
Thank you for the pics.
