Default Posessed Avic-n2?

So i started my car this morning on my way home from work, and the damndest thing happened. The n2 turned on for a few seconds then turned off. Everything else in the car (instuments, gauge pods, interior lights, etc) worked fine. Then a few seconds later the blue lights only (for those familiar with the n1 or n2) slowly started turning on and off slowly, kind of like dimming on and off. After turning the car on and off it worked fine.

Anyone ever seen this before?

Drive directly to the nearest Catholic church and grab the holy water ....

Sounds like it's trying to tell you something.

a some waht common failure with the n1 and n2 is the ribbon cable shredding or slicing, whcih cuases all sorts of problems from it turning on and off, and the buttons not working, and will always get worse with time.

Not saying this must be whats going on with yours, but i have seen a quite a few with this problem. the solution would be to send it back for warranty repairs, or if you are a electrical engineer, you can try taking it apart and finding a ribbon cable, but you cannot order the part itself i have been told.

this is why i always tell people to get the more complex units such as flip out navi units from authorized dealers...the money you save from ebay disappears in an instant when something like this happens.

good luck

Try resetting the HU...there should be a small pin sized - recessed button on the face of it
