Metra Avic D1 Help

Default Metra Avic D1 Help

i just received my metra kit but im wondering do i have to use the iso brackets for my avic d1? i had the installer just install the d1 straight to the mounting bracket. can i just stick ont he bracket? without usinthe iso brackets?

you are asking if you can use the stock moutning brackets to secure the the unit and then slip the frontal part of the metra kit over it to make i ta flush?

you can, but i am not sure why, its pretty simply to secure the metral bracket and mount the the unit to it, advatange being the whole thing is secure, and removing hte ehadunit for service is muchsimilar as you can just slide it out of the sleeve, versus having to unbolt it.

I used the stock brackets .. it seemed easier at the time

oh wait, my bad, didnt read correctly lol, its an avic d1? then ues, you can just use the stock brackets
