MDF is easier and rigid, but it is ugly and not contoured.
FG is moldable in any shape, can be made as strong as anything you will ever need.

FG is expensive, dirty and toxic.
MDF is cheap, dirty and toxic (less toxic)

If you do FG ... you will do a FG MDF combo so that you have a mounting ring for the subwoofer. If you have the funds ... FG is the way to go.

Not really measureable given two well-constructed enclosures.

It is easier to make a good MDF enclosure than a FG one, since you have consistent thickness throughout. Just brace well and you will be fine.

Most custom shops use a hybrid. Thay make a mds frame to give it the support and teh basic for that they may need. But then they cove it with FG to smooth it out and give it teh bad *** look it need, so i would sugjest a hybrid, but it mite be easiyer then just FG, but i dont really know for sure
