Default question about Kenwood DDX7017 and KNA-DV4100 Nav.

My question is, if I were to get the DDX7017 and the KNA0DV4100 Nav along with a seperate 7" LCD touchscreen. would I be able to use the external touchscreen to control the NAV, or will I still have to use the HU to control it??

I would like to have dual screens installed, the DDX7017 and a 7" LCD in the nav cubby. the Goal is to be able to have the nav show up on the 7" and run the raido/cd/everything else on the DDX7017. is this possible??

thanks

I think you can run the Nav into that screen but you would lose the touchscreen capability of the Nav would have to use the remote.

You will be able to do it with a new screen coming out. The model number will be LZ-702W. It is a 6.95" touchscreen monitor that will integrate with the KNA-DV4100. If you have not already gotten the Navigation wait a couple of months for the new KNA-G510 Navigation from Kenwood. It will be much lower in price and the size of it is 4.5" x 4.5" x 1.5" big so you can mount it anywhere in any position. It will also have XM Traffic, and runs off a flash drive memory. If you go with this combo it will do exactly what you are looking to do. By the way there is also a DX6019 coming out which will replace the DDX7017. It will be a 6.95" version and be Bluetooth capable.
