Zenclosure Box question

Default Zenclosure Box question

Gotta zenclosure box, does anyone have issues with it sliding back all the time? Mine does constantly, just wondering what others have done to mount it down good. Thanks in advance!

Interesting that you bring this up. I just contacted Mike 2 days ago asking about one. Give more details. What subs are you using? How much power? What is the fittment like?

Stop pressing the Naaaaaaaawsssss button then! How bout using a few strips of velcro on the bottom? Think that would work? Or buy a strap like the ones that Bazooka uses for their subs...

A few velcro pads should do it. Easiest solution I can think of. If you wanna do it up all ghetto you can use the vertical trunk net I guess. :-/

Thanks for the suggestions guys, velco strips it is. The fitment is excellent, but its when i take off from lights the box would slide out. It takes the trunk carpet with it too.

Is there a bolt (in front of the box, screwed to the hatch floor) that you can slightly unscrew, and than tighten with a piece wire screwed to the underside of the box?

to be honst, i would never trust an enclosure with velcrow. its just good principle to secure a sub box and amp rack, always. espeically in a hatch back, there are plenty of stories of people horribly injured in an accident, when their amp and subs become 50-100lb hard metal and wood flying projectiles.

so if there is a factory bolt to use with a bracket, use it, if not, a few screw holes int he car can make things safer in the god forbit event of a violent crash and rollover.

just my opinion

The Zenclosure is pressed in from the back and is much bigger in the back than in the front. I have the optional trunk mat and that makes the enclosure even tighter. I was planning on running a couple of large "T" nuts into the bottom of the thing and then running screws down from the inside to press down against a plate which would jam the box up into the strut box - not needed as this thing is so tight that I mounted speaker handles on it to help tug it out.

I've had mine about 4 months now. Fits tightly as Paul said above- it's not going anywhere.

mine did this at first but it was because i hadn't pushed it in all the way....it really needs to be pushed in snug for it not to move....at least that was the case with mine

I'm wondering if he's talking about the under strut enclosure or the spare tire well enclosure?

You don't have to take out any of the plastic paneling on the rear upper strut bar do you?

I have the trunk mat also, and mine is very snug. I have to pound on it from the side facing the front to get it to move. I cant see it ever moving just from accelerating.

I have the under-strut box and a trunk mat (06 model) and the thing is wedged in there tight as a drum. I've never had it move or shift at all.
