Anyone changed stock speakers and sub
Anyone changed stock speakers and sub ?
My ideia is to change the stock speakers and sub for some ALPINE using the stock space and conections.
Is it possible to install it in the stock cubby ?

Using the stock sub-woofer location isn't the very best. The speaker is basically a free-air sub-woofer mounted there and most sub-woofer speakers are designed to be used in a sealed box. Try to find a speaker that was designed to operate in free-air and it will sound better. If you want better quality you're going to have to go with a box of some sort.
Yes I did it. Sound quality is FINE. Rubs my back with the music. Its not great for SPL and make sure the sub is optimised for a 5 cubic foot enclosure (both sides). And buy lots of dynamat.
I went with subs in stock location behind Both seats (bought another sub bracket to replace glove box) because I would save +++ on weight over an MDF box.
